Our Legal Costs

Fixed Fee
A Fixed Fee Arrangement offers an alternative to the standard hourly rate used by lawyers. Most of the legal work can be on a fixed fee basis. Examples of this type of work are:
-
Estate Planning (Wills, Power of Attorneys, Medical Treatment Decision Maker etc);
-
Grant of Probate, Letters of Administration;
-
Preparation of Binding Financial Agreements (BFA); and
-
Giving Advice and providing certificates for Binding Financial Agreements;
This gives you some certainty regarding legal costs.

Hourly Rate
Hourly Rate Under an hourly rate arrangement, we charge you based on the amount of time our lawyers spend on your matter. The rate varies depending on the experience and seniority of the lawyer handling your matter.
Blended Fixed and Hourly Rate A blended rate combines a set fee for specific tasks or court appearances, with hourly rates applied to other aspects of the work. This model is particularly useful for matters like Family Law, where we can predict with high certainty the tasks and stages of work required, but may not be able to foresee all potential needs or the involvement of multiple lawyers or barristers. The blended approach helps maintain cost effectiveness while ensuring the best outcomes.
